I’m all dress for Halloween. I’ve been wearing this all week though. All month I think. What’s with the bells? I’m starting to chew them so they don’t ring any more. That’ll fix them! It glows in the dark too.

At least I’m not dressed like a pumpkin.

Here I am. Dressed like a jack o’lantern for Halloween. I don’t like Halloween. I do enjoy barking at all the evil goblins and stuff. Makes my throat sore though. I need a drink.

Self-Sufficiency

I’m self-sufficient. When my dish is empty, I take it to be refilled.

And, if it doesn’t get refilled fast enough, I use it as a toy. It makes noise when I keep picking it up and dropping it. It gets refilled soon enough.

How Not to Spell Chihuahua

This is how to spell Chihuahua: C H I H U A H U A.

The Chihuahua was first found in Mexico, in the state of Chihuahua. That’s where it got its name.

Thus, to non-Spanish speaking people, it may be confusing as to how to spell the name because of the “hua” formation, which is pronounced as “wa” or “wah”. That leads some people to spell “Chihuahua” as “Chiwawa.” Or even “Chiwahwah.”

For whatever reason, some people think there is an extra “a” in there, and want to spell it as “Chiawawa” or even “Chiawahwah.” Probably for the same reason Tijuana is often misspelled as “Tiajuana.”

It is also not spelled “Cheewawa” or “Chewawa.” Some people have watched too much Star Wars, evidently! Or maybe that’s because there is also a Chihuahua cheese (queso chihuahua). No, it’s not made out of Chihuahua milk; it’s made from cow milk but, like the Chihuahua, the cheese originated in Chihuahua, Mexico. Nonetheless, Chihuahua is not spelled “Cheewawa.”

Some people, recognizing that the “j” in Spanish is pronounced as an “h,” may spell it as “Chijuajua,” which is still not correct.

Still others will be close, guessing “Chihuhua” or “Chihuahu” or even “Chiahuhua.” Close, but no cigar. Sorry.

The correct spelling is “Chihuahua.” Trust us, or we’ll send the crazy chihuahua out to bite your ankles!

This is how I guard the front door. I can relax. I just keep my eye on the door. I can relax the rest of my body when nothing is happening. But, I am ready for action if I need to bark or bite an ankle.

I Want to Sue Bob Barker

This is me after I got fixed two weeks ago today. I didn’t think anything was broken.

I want to sue Bob Barker. It’s all his fault. He’s the one who was always saying to fix your cats and dogs. I think it’s cruelty. I was alone, away from my family for a whole day. And stuck in a cage after the surgery. I don’t like it at all.

My hair still hasn’t fully filled in from the spot on my leg. Where can I find a lawyer who will represent a Chihuahua?

The First of June

My blog is now switched over to something called “WordPress.” Whatever that is.

I guess it’s supposed to make it easier for me to connect with other dogs. Nobody could comment on my old blog. They can on this one.

Maybe I’ll make some new friends that way.

Today is a nice day, but it would be better if my little sister, Little Too, would stop picking on me. I don’t know why she just can’t go take a nap.

That’s all I want to do.
